It is a five-year curriculum that includes 4 years of classroom-based training and a year of rotational internships.

Bachelor of Science in Dental Technology

Eligibility: At least 50% marks in class 12 with PCB.

Duration: The program lasts three years.

Dental Assistant Diploma

If a student intends to become a dental assistant after completing 12th grade, he or she should enroll in such a dental diploma program. Dental assistants are responsible for keeping a patient’s dental health in the best possible shape before, during, and following dental treatment. The purpose of this diploma is to teach students how to ensure the equipment used in a healthcare establishment is sterilized and in working condition.

Eligibility: To be considered for this diploma program, students must have completed class 12 with a PCB grade of 50% or higher.

Duration: This is a two-year diploma course.

Institutions: North Bengal Dental College in Kolkata, Maulana Azad Dental College, Hospital in Delhi, etc.

Dental Hygiene Diploma

The program emphasizes preventative dental care and oral hygiene. Such dental diplomas will prepare students to become experts in oral health care. They will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating dental health issues such as tooth or gum disease, oral injuries, or other dental issues.

Eligibility: This diploma program requires a minimum grade point average of 50% in class 12 with PCB.

Duration: The dental diploma program lasts two years.

Institutions: Ragas Dental College and Hospital in Chennai, Saveetha Dental College, and Hospital in Chennai provide this diploma in dental after the 12th.

Certificate in Integrated Dental Photography

Over time, the ability to work with a camera has become an increasingly important element of a dentist’s success. Photographs can be used in several different ways, including in education, seminars, journal entries, when making treatment decisions, in medico-legal issues, in documenting patient care, when communicating with lab technicians, as part of forensics, and as a tool of marketing.
